Prizes

To foster groundbreaking research, the Pennsylvania Historical Association awards annual prizes.

These include

• the Klein Book Prize, for the best book on the history of the Commonwealth
• the Klein Article Prize, for the best article published in Pennsylvania History
• the Crist Article Prize, for the best graduate student article published in Pennsylvania History
• the Pencak Prize, for the best student research paper
• the Marcus Prize, for the best National History Day paper on Pennsylvania’s history
• the Magruder-Newman Prizes, for the best student research presented at each annual meeting
• the Frantz Travel Prize, to support graduate student travel to the annual meeting
