Travel Grants

The Pennsylvania Historical Association will award a competitive number of John B. Frantz Travel Grants to graduate students presenting at the 2026 Annual Meeting. To be eligible, current graduate students must be accepted for either the poster session or panels, be members of the PHA, and be registered for the October 22-24, 2026 conference. Each applicant must submit a brief statement (no more than 150 words) explaining how the award may help offset their travel costs and list any confirmed departmental/institutional support (awards are competitive). Applications are due to the committee by Monday, October 5. Please submit applications online. 

Winners will be notified by the evaluation committee of their monetary prize, and the award will be announced at the Friday banquet of the conference.
