The Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) will be held in Hershey, Pennsylvania April 12-14, 2018! The festivities will include workshops ranging from handling and caring for physical archival collections to questions of privacy in digital collections, an all-day business forum, and several breakout sessions. The plenary speaker, Trevor Owens from the Library of Congress, will discuss the archivist’s role in digital stewardship. The lunchtime speaker, Donald Kraybill from Elizabethtown College, will present his research on the Amish community in Pennsylvania’s “Dutch Country.” Attendees are encouraged to bring their families, as the location of the conference is ideal with a variety of dining and entertainment options.
